Final Sequence

When it came to editing my film I changed the editing as I felt that my original idea did not quite work with the films sequence I was making. Therefore the editing on my original shooting script does not match the final film sequence. I have restructured it, but this creates a better effect and more closely links with the connotation I was aiming for. Despite this the basic shot information is very similar to that in my film, apart from when the location did not have enough space for me to do what I had planned.

Costume Update.

There has been a change in the costume for the manager. She is now wearing a different skirt:

I have chosen this because it helps to show a difference between the two characters in my sequence.

My Final Sequence

This is my final edited opening sequence to my imagined film 'Being Xara':

Prop: Computer

I am using a laptop for the office equipment which will be on a desk:

This is the same laptop as is used in the managers office, this is to create more realism as companies may use the same equipment throughout their offices.

Locations: Offices

For the two offices I have chosen to use the study in my house and also my kitchen as they both have the capacity to show the stark differences of the lifestyles, that of Xara and the life she is aiming to live at the start of my imagined film.

Xara's office is the study:

This room I am having very cluttered in order to show part of Xara's lifestyle.

Manager's office is the Kitchen:

Various things will be changed in each location to ensure the correct meaning and connotation is created.

Prop

I am using a circular key bowl in my sequence this was picked specifically for its shape in order to further the narrative. Also the fairly ornate style helps to give indications to Xara's personality and interests:

Location

The location Xara's flat is a family member's flat. In this flat I am only using the hallway, and changing various aspects of it in order to fit with my film sequence.

Animatic

This is my animatic for my film, I have held each shot for the length of time I am expecting the shot to last for. In some cases the shot appears to last for a long time, this is because I am using the same shot multiple times with only a change in the costume. each of these lasts an equal amount of time.

Change in location

Due to the difficulty in filming of a bus, both having the time to film, and keeping the camaera steady also the issue with whether bus drivers would agree to it being filmed, I have changed my location. This section of the film has now been filmed in Hull Train Station:

End of Sequence Music.

For the end of my sequence I will be using one of three pieces of music by Ludovico Einaudi, these will hopefully portray the Situation that the character it is.
